The Scouts of 4
Founded in 1917, Troop 4 is one of the oldest continuously chartered Boy Scout Troops in America. Troop and Pack 4 has been home to thousands of Scouts, helping them to develop
self-confidence, ethics, leadership, academic, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The Scouts travel the country to high-adventure bases, hike the Appalachian Trail, and attend both Summer and Winter Camps. Troop 4 has been responsible for awarding the Eagle Scout Rank to generations of Tampa’s finest young men. These individuals have led and shaped our community in dramatic ways.
Friends of 4 was formed in 2013, when the Scouts suffered the heartbreaking loss of the original Scout Hut, their home for nearly one hundred years. Since that time, volunteers with Friends of 4 Tampa, Inc. have been working to secure the legacy of this great organization. Today, the solution is evident and the goal is in reach with your help.
Friends of 4 took the first step towards this goal and acquired the land for the new Scout Hut in 2020.
Will you help ensure this continued success for the next 100 years?

MISSION
Friends of 4 was founded in 2013 with a simple idea; create a permanent home for the Scouts of Troop and Pack 4 that could stand for 100 years.
CHALLENGE
The Troop has a history that deserves preserving and the Scout Hut is the heart and spirit of the Troop and Pack.
Now is the time for the Troop and Pack family to come together and make this dream a reality.
It is time to join us in reaching our goal to build the new Scout home of Troop and Pack 4 in Tampa.
The real way to gain happiness is to give it to others. -Robert Baden-Powell
